PARK CITY, Utah — Tucked in the old Silver Mountain Gym building in Kimball Junction, a rapidly growing Park City business is transforming the performance nutrition world—one clean supplement at a time.
Founded by former NFL lineman Jeff Byers and his business partner Erica Good, Momentous has become a standout success story in the wellness industry. This year, the company was named the 4th fastest-growing private company in the Rocky Mountain region and the 2nd fastest-growing in Utah on the 2025 Inc. Regionals list, boasting a staggering 642% revenue growth from 2021 to 2023.
The company is on track to double its revenue again in 2025, surpassing $80 million, while also tripling its staff size to keep pace with expansion.
But to Byers, the journey has been about much more than numbers.
“We started this company not just to sell supplements,” he said. “We wanted to create something that could really make an impact—helping people live better, perform better, and feel better.”
Born from biotech, rooted in Park City
Originally launched in 2018 under the name Amp Human, the company spun out of a biotech venture in Los Angeles before relocating to Park City. Byers, a Colorado native and lifelong mountain lover, saw Park City as the only mountain town practical enough to build a serious business while offering the lifestyle he and his family wanted.
“I’d never spent time in Utah before,” he said. “But Park City has full-time residents, professionals, executives—it’s more than a ski town. It’s a place where you can build something real.”
Momentous officially adopted its current brand in 2021, merging its science-backed approach with a broader consumer-facing identity. Today, the company is made up of 55 employees, the majority of whom live in Utah, with many based right in the Park City area.
Not your average supplement company
From day one, Momentous set out to be different. As Byers puts it, the goal was to become the “anti-supplement supplement company.” That meant offering only rigorously tested, scientifically supported products—and being honest with customers about what they actually need.
“There’s so much noise in this industry,” Byers said. “We’re here to simplify it—to help people get into the right products and get out of the wrong ones.”
Their product line focuses on performance and longevity, with bestsellers including protein powders, omega-3s, and creatine. Additional lines support sleep, cognitive health, and active recovery. The company’s supplements are used by more than 200 professional and collegiate sports teams, including nearly every NFL team.
Yet despite their elite partnerships, about 60% of sales come directly from consumers through Momentous’s website, with 30% via Amazon and the remainder from institutional and nontraditional sales.
Growing pains and purpose
The company’s success hasn’t come without growing pains. Hiring fast enough to keep up with demand has been a challenge—at times, they’ve had 10 open roles at once, a tall order for any startup. But for Byers, the rewards far outweigh the hurdles.
“When you look back, it’s surreal,” he said. “But it’s also a reminder that doing things the right way—consistently—really does pay off.”
Despite national attention, Momentous remains deeply tied to its Park City roots. The company supports local programs at Park City High School, donates products to fire departments, and recently partnered with Athletic Republic, a local training facility. Several employees are also community coaches and volunteers, creating what Byers calls a “culture of impact.”
Looking Ahead, Staying Put
As Momentous continues to grow, Byers says they have no plans to outgrow Park City.
“Park City is home,” he said. “It’s been incredible for our families and for our business. It’s a place where people care about wellness and performance—and that aligns perfectly with who we are.”
Looking forward, the company’s mission remains clear: to help people become healthier, happier, and more capable of making a positive impact in the world.
“Healthy people do good things,” Byers said. “And we want to help make that happen, one step at a time.”
