PARK CITY, Utah — According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, a man was arrested Tuesday morning at a residence on Little Kate Road in Park City in connection with an auto theft case originating outside of Summit County.
Deputies from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Park City Police Department served the arrest warrant after being contacted by the agency handling the original investigation. Authorities determined the suspect had been living in the Park City area.
The adult male was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Summit County Jail. He will be transferred to the custody of the agency that issued the warrant.
Officials said the arrest did not involve federal law enforcement, and Utah’s Eighth District Court issued the warrant.
Law enforcement agencies in Park City and Summit County emphasized their continued commitment to assisting in apprehending individuals suspected or convicted of crimes who may threaten the community.
