Snowbird launches 2025-26 season passes with early-bird perks

SNOWBIRD, Utah — Snowbird has released its 2025-26 season pass lineup, offering its lowest pricing of the year and a slate of new and returning benefits, including the Freeloader Pass program, free UTA bus access, and early-bird rewards.

Passes went on sale Wednesday, marking the earliest release date in the resort’s history. With the announcement, new Summit Pass purchasers gain immediate access to the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

President and General Manager Dave Fields said the early release is designed to help guests take advantage of strong late-season conditions and plan ahead.

“We’re proud to launch our passes earlier than ever this year, giving our guests immediate access to some of the best spring conditions we’ve seen,” said Dave Fields, President and General Manager of Snowbird. “From the return of the Freeloader Pass and flexible payment options, this season’s lineup is designed to give more value, flexibility and fun for our passholders and their families.”

The Freeloader Pass remains a central offering for the 2025-26 season, allowing any adult Summit, Military, Senior or Alta-Bird passholder to gift a free pass to someone aged 18 or under — regardless of relation. Snowbird said the program aims to support families and foster the next generation of skiers and snowboarders.

The Summit Pass is also eligible for an Ikon Base Add-On, and the Alta-Bird Pass is expected to become available in early May. The Flex-5 Pass, which allows five days of skiing or riding with no blackout dates, is available now at a daily rate of $106.

Early-bird purchasers of Summit and Alta-Bird passes will receive a complimentary night at The Cliff Lodge (redeemable through Dec. 18), two summer activity passes, and discounts on Fast Tracks upgrades. Other benefits for all passholders include:

  • A $50 renewal discount if upgrading or renewing to a Summit Pass before May 14
  • 20% discounts on select Mountain School programs, rentals, repairs, lessons, and logo merchandise
  • Free UTA Ski Bus access
  • 50% off five Friends & Family lift tickets
  • 50% off tickets at Mountain Collective resorts
  • Discounts on Woodward summer camps

Snowbird is also introducing a new Affirm payment plan for added flexibility.

Preferred Parking Passes are available now for current passholders and open to the public starting April 15 for $1,299. Revenue from the program continues to support carpool initiatives, including expanded parking access for vehicles carrying three or more people, giveaways for carpoolers, and the Canyon Carpool Club.

Additional details, including pricing and Alta-Bird availability, are expected in the coming weeks. For more information visit www.snowbird.com.
