PC Marc looking for poolside project proposals

PARK CITY, Utah—Park City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is seeking artists to design artistic fencing panels for the renovation of the Park City Municipal Athletic & Recreation Center (PC MARC) pool. The project aims to enhance security and privacy while reflecting Park City’s outdoor culture and mining heritage.

Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 21. Submit electronically to stephanie.valdez@parkcity.org. If necessary, proposals can be delivered on a zip drive to the City Recorder’s office at 445 Marsac Avenue, Third Floor – Executive Department, Park City. No paper submissions will be accepted. The RFP is available on the PCMC website.

Project details

  • Up to 10 panels, each 5’-2” high and 7’-10” wide.
  • Designs should ensure privacy, security, and artistic cohesion.
  • Two-sided designs are encouraged.
  • Materials must be durable and weather-resistant.
  • Preference for local artists.
  • Project delivery by September 26, 2025, with a final deadline of November 1, 2025.

Budget and selection criteria

The project budget is $75,000, covering design, fabrication, and installation. Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Artistic alignment (50%): Privacy, security, and historical reflection.
  • Local connection (10%): Preference for Park City-based artists.
  • Plan of operation (20%): Feasibility, materials, and timeline.
  • Past experience (20%): Public art and related projects.

Selection process

A selection committee will review proposals starting April 14. Finalists may be interviewed on April 18, with the final selection by April 25. City Council approval is expected on May 15, with contract execution on May 19.
