PCSD names new principals and directors for upcoming academic year

PCHS Alumnus Caleb Fine Returns as Principal After Superintendent Role; Joined by Former TMJH Leader Ben Mueller

PARK CITY, Utah – The Park City School District (PCSD) has appointed several key administrators for the 2025-26 school year, with the Board of Education formally approving the selections during its meeting Tuesday.

The district named Trailside principal Tracy Fike as director of career and technical education, Meadowlark Elementary principal Jacqie Spell as principal of Jeremy Ranch Elementary School, Treasure Mountain interim principal Isaiah Folau as principal of Ecker Hill Middle School, and PCSD preschool director Dan Gallery as Ecker Hill Middle School’s assistant principal.

At Park City High School, Caleb Fine was named principal, and Ben Mueller was appointed assistant principal. Fine, a Park City High School alumnus, returns to PCHS after serving as the district’s interim superintendent since September 2024. Prior to his superintendent role, Fine was the principal at Treasure Mountain Junior High School.

Mueller brings seven years of experience with the district, including serving as an interim principal at Treasure Mountain Junior High School during the 2024-25 school year, where he oversaw 8th-grade students while Isaiah Folau managed 9th-graders. Mueller previously taught computer science and served as a technology coach at TMJH for three years before spending two years as assistant principal.

Additionally, the district announced Jamie Weekes as transportation coordinator and Missy Tschabrun as preschool coordinator.

The selection process included interviews, staff feedback, and input from a selection committee of district officials, staff, and parents. Some positions were filled through direct appointments.

“We’re confident in the depth of experience and expertise these leaders bring to their new positions,” Superintendent Lyndsay Huntsman said. “Together, we’ll build on our achievements while creating even greater opportunities for our students and community.”

The newly appointed administrators will begin their roles in late July. The district plans to share further details about their backgrounds and objectives in the coming weeks.
