Earn your turns under the “Blood Moon” with Summit Land Conservancy

PARK CITY, Utah — Whether you’re a seasoned uphill skier or want this to be your first season, Summit Land Conservancy is hosting a noncompetitive community-wide event for the hottest cold-weather activity in town at their Moon Shine Adventure.

All abilities can join the conservancy for a ski tour up Park City Mountain during the blood moon lunar eclipse and finally experience what your friends have been talking about doing before their second cup of coffee.

— Where: Park City Mountain at the bottom of First Time lift, 1355 Lowell Ave., Park City, UT 84060

— When: Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 6 p.m.

Register for the event here.

From the meeting location, everyone will skin up the designated route (Homerun to the Angle Station). It typically takes 45 minutes to one hour to reach the top, but skiers will go at their own pace and can turn around whenever they want.

“After we’ve earned our turns and basked in the full blood moon, we’ll hit Offset Brewery for some grub and suds,” the conservancy said in a statement.

Bring a headlamp, layers and your own AT equipment. Equipment is available to rent at White Pine Touring or Silver Star Ski.

No dogs allowed.
