PCSD Schools Open – Drive Safely!
All Park City School District schools will remain open today, February 14, 2025. Please allow extra time for travel and drive carefully in the snow. ❄️🚗
Student and staff safety is our top priority. We trust parents to make the ultimate call when it comes to their child’s safety.
PARK CITY, Utah — Park City School District officials are closely monitoring the incoming winter storm that could force school closures Friday, as heavy snowfall is expected to hit during crucial morning commute hours.
The storm is forecast to intensify around 6 a.m., according to district communications. Officials said they will announce any closure decisions by that time to allow families to adjust their plans.
“We want to ensure that the safety and well-being of our students and community remain our utmost priority,” district officials said in a statement to families.
Due to Friday’s early release schedule and various logistical constraints, the district indicated that a delayed start would not be possible. If weather conditions are severe enough to impact operations, schools would need to close for the full day.
If closures become necessary, the designated make-up day would be Friday, May 23, 2025.
The district plans to release a detailed video explaining their snow closure decision-making process, which will be available on their website under the “Weather Related Delays/Closure” section.
Parents are advised to monitor the district’s website, social media channels, and direct communications for updates tomorrow morning.
