Park City’s Seba Wrona commits to swim for University of Utah

PARK CITY, Utah — Sebastian “Seba” Wrona has signed to swim for the University of Utah, where he will study medicine as a freshman this fall. He secured his spot following the Utah State Championships.

Wrona attended Trailside Elementary School and Ecker Hill Middle School, home of the Park City Aquatic Center and Park City Swimming. He continued to Treasure Mountain Junior High before beginning at Park City High School. He’s completing his high school career at Olympus High in Salt Lake City, where his swimming has flourished as he competed for multiple national championships.

That Wrona chose a Summer Olympics sport doesn’t faze his mother, Monika, a Winter Olympian who represented Poland in skeleton at the 2006 Turin Games in Italy. She trained primarily at the Utah Olympic Park and has worked as a computer tomography technologist at Park City Hospital for more than a decade.

His father, Christof, owns ABC Hot Tubs, and along with Wrona’s younger sisters, Sophie and Jacque, the family supports his summer sport choice and appreciates that he’ll remain close to their Park City home.
