PAKR CITY, Utah—The 2025 Sundance Film Festival concluded with several notable film acquisitions, reflecting diverse genres and storytelling approaches. Although many do not have a specified release date yet, you can expect to see them streaming or see them at a theatrical release. This year’s acquisitions are fewer and farther between than previous years, which could be a reflection of the unstable footing of the Festival’s location and the devastating California wildfires.

“Together”

Neon secured the rights to “Together,” a body-horror film featuring husband and wife duo Dave Franco and Alison Brie for reportedly over $10 million. The acquisition followed a competitive bidding war, underscoring the film’s strong reception at the festival. “Together” was a popular screening at this year’s festival.

“Train Dreams”

Netflix acquired “Train Dreams,” an adaptation of Denis Johnson’s novella directed by Clint Bentley and starring Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones.
