PARK CITY, Utah — Whether you’re braving Parleys Canyon or navigating snowy Park City streets, your winter driving just got a whole lot smoother (and safer) thanks to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). Responding to popular demand, UDOT has rolled out a fresh set of traveler information tools tailored specifically for the Wasatch Back region.

What to Expect from the New UDOT Resource

UDOT’s Instagram account (@utahtransportation) is now your go-to source for all things winter travel in the area. Here’s what they’re serving up:

• Traffic and Weather Forecasts: Plan your trip like a pro with insights on what Mother Nature and traffic flow have in store.
• Real-Time Road Conditions: Get up-to-the-minute updates in stories to know exactly what you’re driving into.
• Traction Law Alerts: Find out immediately when snow tires or chains are required, as well as details on significant crashes and road closures.
• Winter Travel Tips: Stay prepared with practical advice for navigating icy roads and snowy weather.
