SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Summit County residents are welcome to recycle their natural Christmas trees this season at any of five convenient drop-off sites, open free of charge across the county through Monday, Jan. 12, 2026.
As part of the county’s Brown Waste Diversion initiative, the county will chip trees and keep them out of the landfill.
Drop-off locations include:
Jeremy Ranch — across from the Jeremy Ranch gas station
Silver Creek — Bell’s Truck Stop
Oakley — beside City Hall
Kamas — behind the city building
Wanship — next to the stockyards
County officials remind residents that these sites accept only trees. Residents should remove all lights, plastic bags, stands, and any remaining decorations before dropping off trees.
Lacrosse teams also offer a curbside pickup fundraiser
Park City boys and girls lacrosse teams are also offering a paid curbside pickup option as a fundraiser for the 2025-2026 season, with three pickup date options:
Saturday/Sunday, Dec. 27-28
Saturday/Sunday, Jan. 3-4
Saturday, Jan. 10
Place your undecorated tree at the curb where your driveway meets the road by 9 a.m. Saturday of your scheduled pickup weekend.
The cost is $40 per tree, or $50 for trees taller than 10 feet. Pickup is available in many Park City-area neighborhoods, including Pinebrook/Pinewood, Jeremy Ranch, Silver Creek, Trailside/Silver Summit, Old Town, Deer Valley, Promontory, and Summit Park, among others. Tree collection is not available for Jordanelle neighborhoods.
You can register your tree for pickup here.
