Kimball Art Center hosts free Art Lounge during Sundance 2025
PARK CITY, Utah — The Kimball Art Center’s popular Art Lounge returns this year during the Sundance Film Festival, offering visitors a warm and inviting space to connect with contemporary art and cinema. The event will run from Friday, January 24, through Sunday, January 26, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Conveniently located at 1251 Kearns Blvd, between The Ray and Eccles Theatres, the Art Lounge 2025 provides a welcome retreat for art enthusiasts, filmgoers, and locals. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot drinks and light snacks while experiencing the Kimball Art Center’s latest exhibition, Moving Pictures. The collection highlights the intersection of visual art and film, featuring works by nine internationally recognized artists that delve into themes of process, time, memory, and perception.
“When we were planning our exhibition schedule, we wanted the work we have on display during Sundance to celebrate the intersection of visual art and film,” said Aldy Milliken, Executive Director of Kimball Art Center. “Moving Pictures is an exploration of all the ways contemporary artists are pushing the boundaries of the medium in non-traditional and thought-provoking ways.”
The Art Lounge offers visitors a chance to recharge and connect with the arts between Sundance screenings. The event is free and open to the public, with no RSVP required, though reservations are available online.
