KAPPL, Austria — Hannah Baldwin, an 18-year-old Park City High School alumna, won the Freeride Junior World Championships on Sunday. Baldwin competes for the Alta/Snowbird “AltaBird” Ski Team.

“I’m thrilled to be the world champion,” Baldwin told the Freeride World Tour. “The event was incredible, and I’m excited to move on to the next stage of my career.”

Baldwin showcased her Park City training with a bold run featuring a backflip in challenging conditions. Spring-like snow and windy skies marked the competition day.

The event drew 64 athletes from 16 nations across four divisions. In women’s ski, Baldwin took first, followed by Anjah Morgan Smith of Canada in second and Elfy Roullier of Switzerland in third. French athletes dominated the other divisions, with Kea Christiansen winning men’s snowboard, Amelie Martin claiming women’s snowboard, and Noah Peitzerat taking men’s ski.
