Deer Valley Resort names rising mogul star Alli Macuga as sponsored athlete

PARK CITY, Utah — Deer Valley Resort has announced Park City native Alli Macuga, 21, as the newest addition to its roster of sponsored athletes. A rising star in mogul skiing, Macuga has gained international recognition for her talent, determination, and promising career on the slopes.

“Alli exemplifies the passion, drive, and excellence that align with Deer Valley’s values,” said Susie English, vice president of marketing. “We are excited to support her journey as she continues to reach new heights in her career.”

Macuga made her World Cup debut in December 2022 in Ruka, Finland, where she finished an impressive 12th. During the 2022-23 season, she achieved four top-10 finishes, including a career-best fourth place at the Almaty World Cup. Her efforts earned her the 2022-23 NorAm Cup moguls and dual moguls overall titles, a full-time World Cup start for the following season, and the distinction of being named the 2023 FIS Rookie of the Year.

The 2023-24 season marked a breakthrough for Macuga, with two podium finishes. She earned second place in moguls at Almaty, Kazakhstan, and third place in dual moguls at Alpe d’Huez, France. She capped off the season ranked fifth in the world, solidifying her status as one of the sport’s brightest talents.

Now competing in the 2024-25 season, Macuga has already achieved four top-15 World Cup finishes, highlighting her consistent performance and drive to excel.

A student at the University of Utah, Macuga successfully juggles her academic responsibilities with her demanding athletic career. Her family is steeped in athletic excellence—her two sisters compete on the World Cup circuit, while her younger brother aspires to follow in their footsteps.

Fans can see Macuga in action at the 2025 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup, held from Feb. 1–3 at Deer Valley Resort. The Intermountain Health Freestyle International Ski World Cup, presented by Stifel, will feature top freestyle athletes from around the world competing on Deer Valley’s renowned slopes. When not competing, Macuga enjoys spending time with her close-knit family and their two dogs and four cats. She’s also an avid water skier and surfer, balancing her rigorous training schedule with moments of relaxation and adventure.
