Park City’s uphill travel opens Dec. 16

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Mountain announced uphill skiing access will open for the 2024-2025 winter season starting Monday, December 16.

The designated uphill route follows Homerun trail from First Time Lift to the Angle Station, and is accessible daily from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. Uphill travelers must stay to the climber’s left side of the trail and wear reflective clothing and lights for visibility.

Parking for uphill access is available in the First Time lot without charge between 1:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m., though vehicles must vacate all surface lots between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. for snow removal. Parking reservations are required from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Users are required to text “uphill” to 435-244-1769 before accessing the mountain to receive updates on route changes or closures. Mountain bikes, sledding, motorized travel, and pets (except service dogs) are prohibited.

The resort reminds uphill users that emergency services are not available during uphill access hours, and travelers should be aware of ongoing mountain operations including snowmaking and grooming.
