Parkite Tom Kelly, former US Ski & Snowboard spokesman, honored for sports communication excellence
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Tom Kelly, a Park City resident, received the Excellence in Communication Award from the Utah Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The award, recognizing his extensive contributions to the global sports community, was presented during the Golden Spike Awards on Nov. 12 at the Living Planet Aquarium.
“Thanks to the PRSA. What an exhilarating evening with meeting with so many next generation communication professionals who were honored.” Kelly wrote on Facebook, “Yes, that’s a shark in the background.”
Kelly, a Hall of Fame member and former communications director for U.S. Ski & Snowboard for three decades, now leads Tom Kelly Communications. He is the creator of the popular “Ridgelines” and “Behind the Gold” series.
This summer, Kelly represented Utah at the Paris Olympics when the International Olympic Committee announced Salt Lake City as the host for the 2034 Winter Games. He remains actively involved in preparations for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.
