Park City Miners’ football crushes Bear River 33-0, advances in playoffs
PARK CITY, Utah — Park City High School’s football team continued its dominant season Friday, delivering a 33-0 win over Bear River in the first round of the playoffs. According to MaxPreps, this latest victory marked the Miners’ sixth win this season by 30 points or more.

Star quarterback Bash Bodily added to his impressive season with three touchdowns and 95 rushing yards on just 11 carries, highlighted by a 63-yard scoring run. Eli Warner handled things on the ground, rushing for 111 yards and another touchdown as the Miners’ ground game proved unstoppable, totaling 237 rushing yards to Bear River’s 33.
The Miners’ defense shut down Bear River’s offense, recording three interceptions from Parker Jones, Henry Skidmore, and Ben Souza. Souza also posted six or more tackles for the fifth consecutive game. Becker Ruzek anchored the defense with two sacks and ten tackles, including three for loss.
With the win, Park City improved to 10-1, extending its home winning streak to five games. Bear River ended its season at 4-8, snapping a four-game winning streak on the road.
Park City will face Spanish Fork in the next playoff round Friday at 6 p.m. Spanish Fork enters the matchup with a strong offense, averaging 41.4 points per game.
