Wasatch Back Business University brings free training to Summit and Wasatch County business owners

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau and the Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with America First Credit Union, encourage local business owners to participate in Wasatch Back Business University. The free, monthly professional development series aims to provide business owners and professionals with practical tools and insights tailored to meet the challenges of today’s business environment.

The first session, which will focus on financial planning and cash flow management, will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at Utah Valley University—Wasatch Campus in Heber City. It will offer guidance on budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow strategies, and tax planning as businesses prepare for the end of the year.

The second session, which will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 11:30 – 1 p.m. at the Blair Education Center at Intermountain Park City Hospital, will focus on strategic marketing and customer retention. It will cover social media and content marketing, data analytics, and loyalty programs. Attendees will learn to implement these strategies to stand out in an increasingly competitive market.

Each session offers participants a chance to enjoy lunch and network with others from the local business community. Scott House, vice president of partner services for the Park City Chamber, emphasized the value of the series, saying, “Whether you’re aiming to elevate your business’s online presence or seeking guidance on next year’s tax planning, Wasatch Back Business University offers everything local business leaders need to grow. With the program’s expansion, we’ll be able to reach a broader range of professionals, fostering connections across Summit and Wasatch counties.”

Founded in 1963 to promote local ski resorts, the Park City Chamber now represents more than 1,000 businesses in Summit County. In addition to supporting economic stability, the organization focuses on sustainable tourism, environmental stewardship, and cultural preservation through its Mountainkind brand.
