Utah Hockey fans break beer sales record while being named NHL’s friendliest
The Delta Center recorded over $120,000 in beer sales during Utah’s win over the Blackhawks at their inaugural game—setting a new record for any NBA or NHL event at the venue since 1991.
SALT LAKE CITY — After analyzing nearly one million online comments from subreddit discussions for all 32 NHL teams a recent study found that Utah Hockey Club fans are the most polite fans in the NHL and use the least amount of swear words in comments related to the Utah Hockey Club team.
Conversely, Vegas Golden Knights fans used the most swear words per comment, followed closely by Dallas Stars and New York Islanders fans.
In other Utah Hockey Club fan news, Sports Illustrated reported that the Delta Center recorded over $120,000 in beer sales during Utah’s win over the Blackhawks at their inaugural game—setting a new record for any NBA or NHL event at the venue since 1991. A Michelob Ultra, priced at $13 during the Jazz’s preseason game the night before, sold for $15 at the arena’s NHL debut.
