PARK CITY, Utah — Lucy Block, her daughters Lia and Kira, and her son Mika have been traveling from their home and auto racing headquarters in Park City to compete on courses worldwide.
Lia is with her global Team this week from F4 Williams Academy at the Italian Championships in Monza on what Block House Racing calls on social media “one of the most legendary race tracks in the world.” There, she met her goal of gaining more and more racing experience on the world-wide motor sport courses.
At the same time, Lucy, Kira and Mika were in Texas over the weekend at the Rally Ready Driving School securing podium positions, Lucy taking third in the Rally Class, and Mika took third in the X-Class in the Lost Pines Rally. They wrote, “It’s always a good time at the Rally Ready Sprint events… but even better when you bring home some hardware!”

I've lived in Park City for 30 years but right off the starting line, my journalism professors expressed plaudits after class for writing more so about the small-town sports in the surrounding mountains than the urban updates they assigned. Therefore, I’m on par punning and penning Parkites' pastimes. Turning high and early through my career, I’ve worked communications for The Olympics, the Paralympics and the Special Olympics. Additionally, there's been National Geographic, Patagonia, NCAA, USA Nordic and the United States Library of Congress, so I guess you could say this ain't my first rodeo.
