Howl-O-Ween fright on Park City Main Street promises chills and thrills
Set for Oct. 31 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., the event will draw costume-clad revelers and their dogs as they haunt the streets for trick-or-treating.
PARK CITY, Utah — This Halloween, Park City’s Main Street will transform from bustling town center to eerie fright zone for the annual Howl-O-Ween event. Set for Oct. 31 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., the event will draw costume-clad revelers and their dogs as they haunt the streets for trick-or-treating. The city’s “FrankenBus” will shuttle participants to Old Town, keeping car congestion at bay and adding a supernatural touch to Park City’s transit options.
Ghostly warnings are already echoing through town. Road closures will block Main Street, prompting Park City officials to remind residents to expect delays, plan their routes, and watch for young ghouls and goblins darting about. “Slow down and keep an eye out,” a Park City transit official emphasized, urging caution among drivers during the event’s peak hours. Meanwhile, spooky bus rides are encouraged for residents and visitors alike, and even dogs are welcome on Park City and High Valley Transit—adding a howling twist to Halloween travels.
Parking could haunt drivers without a permit, with limited free and paid options in place to ensure that revelers can safely celebrate. Taxi staging areas will be available for quick drop-offs, though officials warn that only Access Pass holders will have direct parking privileges on closed streets.
For visitors looking to experience the heart of Park City’s Halloween spirit, Howl-O-Ween on Main promises spine-tingling fun—where the costumes are frightening, and the streets are alive with creatures of all kinds.
