Fresh pavement spells relief for traffic congestion on US-40 and I-80
Both the US-40 to westbound I-80 flyover ramp and the I-80 eastbound off-ramp at Kimball Junction have received fresh pavement and are now open to vehicle traffic.
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A smoother commute is expected starting Monday after new pavement was laid on the I-80 eastbound off-ramp at Kimball Junction. The two lanes of travel have been restored, providing some much needed traffic relief to drivers in the area.
Additionally, UDOT has completed paving on the US-40 to westbound I-80 flyover ramp that has been causing massive traffic backups over the last few weeks. UDOT reported the Flyover opening back up on Saturday.
