Wasatch County Sheriff identifies Hideout man killed near Jordanelle Reservoir
HIDEOUT, Utah – A Wasatch County man found dead near Jordanelle State Park has been identified as 61-year-old Patrick L. Hayes of Hideout.
The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday that Hayes was the victim found near the Ross Creek day-use area on the night of Sept. 25. The medical examiner confirmed Hayes was shot and died at the scene.

Hayes’ body was found beside his car around 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 26 by a person who called 911. Sheriff Jared Rigby said investigators believe the incident began as a road rage altercation around 11 p.m. on Wednesday. Authorities are searching for the other vehicle involved, which may be a Jeep Gladiator or Rubicon. Police have not yet released a suspect description.
