Park City claims victory in homecoming football game against Hillcrest
PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City High Miners dominated the Hillcrest High Huskies with a 52-7 victory in front of a packed stadium during Friday’s Homecoming game.
The Senior Homecoming King was Cam Lentz, and the Queen was Georgia Reed.
“We’ve had a wonderful Homecoming week of festivities including the bonfire and pep rally. The weather is beautiful for tonight’s big game, and it’s great to see such school spirit with the senior student spectators wearing their traditional camouflage, and the juniors in their red attire and sophomores wore white. One of the best parts about the annual Homecoming game is having the local alumni from over the decades come on out and share in the fun with us. Go Miners!” Principal Arbabi told TownLift.
The Band played all the tunes to get fans out of their seats to dance and keep their toes tapping and their hands clapping throughout the night.
At halftime, this was the first year in which the cheerleaders and the dance squad performed together as one group, wowing the crowd with their choreography and high-flying skills.
The Halftime Jeep Parade not only revealed the King and Queen but also the Homecoming Junior Prince and Princess as Bobby Valaika and Renee Hebert.
Miner Sebastian Bodily had an 11 yard run in to make it 44, then 45 – 0 at halftime. At the start of the second half Miner Pierce Gardiner scored a touchdown.
The Homecoming Dance was held at Deer Valley’s Silver Lake Lodge on Saturday where attendees got to ride the Carpenter chairlift up then were shuttled down at evening’s end.
