Junction Commons to celebrate makeover with Oct. 12 grand opening party
PARK CITY, Utah — Junction Commons is set to unveil its makeover and welcome Ulta Beauty with a grand opening celebration on Oct. 12. The celebration will offer visitors a day of festivities, food, and family-friendly activities.
The event, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will showcase the shopping center’s transformation and the debut of Ulta Beauty’s first Park City location. The cosmetics retailer will offer a 20% discount storewide throughout the weekend.
The grand opening will also unveil the updated “Mountain Moose,” a new sculpture by Salt Lake City artist Elizabeth Walsh. Selected from proposals submitted by artists in Park City and Salt Lake City, Walsh’s work is known for reimagining Contemporary Western Art.
“Ultimately, my intention is to ignite a collective reimagining of our surroundings and inspire individuals to embark on explorations that expand their horizons,” Walsh said of her artistic vision.
The celebration will feature food trucks, kids’ crafts, and live music from FM100.3, which will also conduct giveaways.
Abby Phillips, marketing and specialty leasing manager, said, “The renovation and brand refresh of Junction Commons brings to the shopping center the mission of creating a vibrant community space where everyone can enjoy life’s moments and adventure in style together. This grand opening event is not just about our refreshed buildings; it’s about bringing people together for a day of joy and connection and celebration of our amazing mountain town.”
The free event will include food offerings from Boa Vida Acai, The Border Churros, Mo’s Chicago Original Hotdogs, Udder Rivals Ice Cream, and Umani Cucina Pizza. Kids’ activities will be led by Art Barn’s Becky McCutcheon, with local community partners Nuzzles & Co. also participating.
