Cheer loud and proud for the Miners at this Friday night’s Homecoming Football Game
PARK CITY, Utah — Homecoming week is here for the Park City High School. The 4A Boy’s Varsity Miners Football Team will play the Hillcrest Huskies at home at Dozier Field on Friday Night, kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.
The Huskies hail from the Midvale area of the Salt Lake Valley and are sitting at 0-3 for this early season while the Miners are at 3-0.
Friday night tailgating is set to begin around 5:00 p.m.
So far, the Miners have handily beaten Wasatch 17-0, Timpanogos 48-34, and and Dixie 42-0.
The next home game will be on the 27 of Sept. against Cottonwood and between now and then they’ll play away games against Murray and Stansbury, respectively.
Homecoming this week at Park City High School will include in-house, just-for-fun annual tradition games like the Powderpuff, and the Powerbuff wherein different genders play different sports and are coached by the actual athletes who usually play.
A wood palate bonfire for High School students only, overseen by the Park City Fire District will be on Thursday, and a pep rally happens on Friday. The Homecoming dance is on Saturday.
Parking is limited this football season due to planned building expansion construction therefore public transit, walking, or bike riding is recommended to Friday’s game.
