White Pine Touring showcases the Uintas with guided climbs

PARK CITY, Utah — White Pine Touring offers guided rock climbing expeditions in Utah’s inimitable Uinta Mountains, just 45 minutes from Park City.

White Pine Touring caters to first-time and experienced climbers; each trip is customized based on clients’ skill levels. Climbing guides are certified wilderness first responders and maintain a 3-to-1 client-to-guide ratio for the ultimate learning experience.

Popular climbing areas include Cliff Lake, Wall Lake, Ruth Lake, and Stone Garden. For more experienced climbers or those interested in multi-pitch routes, guides lead trips to the Cobra Zone on Bald Mountain and routes in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

“Ruth Lake is a perfect spot to bring new climbers out on their first experience,” said guide Francis Kopp. “With a wide variety of climbing difficulties and styles, it presents both the perfect challenge and the perfect experience for folks getting into the outdoors.”

Uinta climbing offers a unique high alpine wilderness experience featuring steep, horizontally cracked quartzite.

Tours typically run from late June to late September, weather permitting, and last six to eight hours.

Don’t miss White Pine Touring’s ‘Let’s Go Climbing’ clinics at the SLCA Climbing Festival August 24-25 in the Uinta Mountains. Tickets are still available from the SLCA website.

“White Pine is excited to be offering clinics for this year’s 11th annual SLCA Climbing Festival taking place in the Uintas, our backyard stomping grounds! The SLCA represents the pinnacle of climbing and community stewardship. We are proud to be working alongside them.”
