Unwind with a view: Dine at The Lakehouse on Deer Creek Reservoir

Nestled on the shores of Deer Creek Reservoir, The Lakehouse offers a unique dining experience that combines natural beauty with culinary excellence. This waterfront eatery has become a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

“We really strive to be a destination restaurant; we realize we provide a unique experience of being right on the water,” says General Manager Daniel Egan. “You can’t really find anything like this location in Utah.” The restaurant’s expansive patio allows diners to enjoy their meals while taking in panoramic views of the reservoir and surrounding landscape.

While The Lakehouse has gained recognition as a prime spot for casual dining, it has also emerged as a sought-after venue for special events. The establishment’s versatile spaces, both indoor and outdoor, can accommodate gatherings of various sizes, from intimate celebrations to larger corporate functions.

Recently, The Lakehouse expanded its offerings with the introduction of The Beach Club, a casual beachside service providing a selection of drinks and light fare such as tacos and burgers. This addition allows visitors to extend their lakeside experience beyond the main restaurant.

At the heart of The Lakehouse’s appeal is its commitment to locally-sourced cuisine. The menu showcases dishes crafted from fresh ingredients, many of which are sourced from nearby farms and producers. Egan explains, “Our goal is when [customers] look at our menu, they can find something that appeals to them, no matter who it is. We want to have variety. There will be unique dishes you won’t see often, along with some that may have some familiarity.”

To keep the dining experience fresh, Chef Kory updates the menu every few months. These seasonal adjustments reflect not only the changing availability of local ingredients but also evolving culinary trends and guest preferences. Whether you’re seeking a quiet meal with a view or a memorable setting for a special occasion, this lakeside eatery offers a distinctive dining experience in the heart of Utah’s natural beauty.

Pro Tip: Try the Utah Grilled Peach Salad, which combines arugula, frisée, feta cheese, grilled Utah peaches, watermelon, mint, and candied pecans, all dressed with a white peach vinaigrette.
