UDOT construction updates: Eastbound offramp at Kimball Junction reduced to single lane

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The Utah Department of Transportation recently provided updates on several Summit County Area Projects.

The eastbound offramp at Exit 145 at Kimball Junction will be reduced to a single lane for up to three weeks as crews rebuild the road and prepare the area for new pavement. Temporary barriers have been installed for worker safety.

The westbound flyover ramp to westbound I-80 will be reduced to a single lane throughout August. Drivers should plan for delays in the area during this time.

Construction is currently underway at the US-40 and SR-248 interchange, Exit 4. Crews will replace curbs and gutters, upgrade storm drainage, reconstruct pedestrian ramps, and widen the roadway for eastbound and westbound US-40 off-ramps.

Additional improvements include new traffic signals and a new lane to access westbound US-40 from eastbound SR-248.
