Salt Lake Climbers Alliance hosts annual climbing festival in the Uintas

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — The Salt Lake Climbers Alliance (SLCA) will host its annual Climbing Festival August 24-25 at Camp Steiner near Scout Lake in the Uinta Mountains. The event offers climbers a weekend of skill-building clinics and community activities, with all proceeds going to Stewardship of Wasatch Crags.

The SLCA, dedicated to protecting outdoor climbing access and maintaining sustainable climbing resources in the Wasatch and surrounding regions, will feature two types of clinics at the festival. The Ground School Clinic will teach essential climbing techniques without leaving the ground, while the On Rock Clinic will provide hands-on experience at the crag.

A festival ticket, which covers camping, meals, and access to evening activities, is required for those attending the clinics.
