Promontory Foundation grants $400,000 to 32 Park City area nonprofits

PARK CITY, Utah — The Promontory Foundation awarded $400,000 in grants to 32 nonprofits serving Park City and Summit County at its annual “Happiest Hour” reception on Aug. 27.

Kelli Brown, general manager at Promontory Club, highlighted the foundation’s impact since its inception in her speech at the event.

“Since we began in 2006, the Promontory Foundation has granted almost $3 million to our nonprofits, and with the two to one matching grant, do the math, we’re hovering right around $9 million of impact in Park City, which is pretty epic,” Brown said.

The foundation, associated with a private community in Park City, raised the funds through donations from club members during summer events. This year’s total surpassed the 2023 record of $372,500 given to 31 nonprofits.

PC Tots, a nonprofit providing early childhood education, received this year’s $50,000 “Promontory Promise Grant.” Brown noted the grant’s purpose: “to help with their tuition scholarships for those needing [child] care that can’t otherwise afford a full tuition.”

Sue Banerjee, PC Tots’ executive director, emphasized the grant’s significance: “PC Tots will be able to use the $50,000 to provide more working families with tuition scholarships, thereby helping to make high quality care affordable.”

Grant recipients are required to provide matching grant information and recognize the award on their social media pages.

A complete list of grant recipients is available on the foundation’s website.
