Portion of Guardsman Pass Road closed Aug. 19-21

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Guardsman Pass Road will be closed to all traffic from the Winter Gate to the Pass Overlook from Monday, Aug. 19 to Wednesday, Aug. 21.

According to a Facebook post from Park City Government, drivers bound for Park City or Heber Valley will need to reroute via I-80 or US-189 during this time.

This is a part of the Utah Department of Transportation’s SR-190 pavement preservation project, which will repave SR-190 between the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon and Mineral Fork Trailhead, and Guardsman Pass Road between the Winter Gate and the Pass Overlook. The project is expected to be complete by late summer.
