Heber man arrested with 139 fentanyl pills in Walmart parking lot

PARK CITY, Utah – Summit County deputies responded to a theft at the Kimball Junction Walmart, leading to the arrest of a 34-year-old man in possession of over 100 fentanyl pills. The man, one of two suspects involved in the theft, was taken into custody on July 28 after deputies discovered multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest in other parts of Utah.

According to an affidavit supporting his arrest, deputies conducted a search before transporting him to jail, uncovering 139 fentanyl pills. They also found plastic pipes commonly used in drug production, two IDs belonging to other individuals, and a syringe that tested positive for heroin.

The man was booked into the Summit County jail on suspicion of drug possession, distribution, theft, and other charges. The second suspect was released.

Court records from other cases list the arrested man’s address as Heber City. Jail records show that he posted the $500 bond and was released on July 29. As of July 30, no charges had been filed.
