Evanston resident arrested in Summit County for alleged fentanyl distribution
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah – A woman from Evanston, Wyoming was booked into Summit County Jail on August 4th after a Summit County deputy found 156 fentanyl pills, methamphetamine and LSD in her car.
The woman, 34, was traveling eastbound on I-80 when she was stopped for traffic violations, records said.
During the stop, the deputy discovered an active warrant for her arrest in Evanston, Wyoming. The woman had missed a court appearance and was also allegedly in violation of probation.
The deputy’s K9 detected the drugs. A search of the vehicle turned up 156 fentanyl pills along with personal amounts of methamphetamine and LSD and other drug paraphernalia.
As of August 6 she was being held without bail and had not yet been charged.
Court records also show that when she was arrested, the woman was out on bail for separate theft, drug possession and distribution charges in West Valley City.
