Rapid response prevents brushfire from spreading to homes in Silver Creek Estates

UPDATE 2:34 p.m. : Darren Nelson, Battalion Chief with the Park City Fire District, confirmed with TownLift that the brushfire has been contained at 1 to 2 acres and that no structures were involved. No injuries were reported, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

One home and several outbuildings were threatened by the flames; however, the PCFD was able to extinguish the fire before the buildings became involved. Mop-up operations will continue to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.

PARK CITY, Utah — A brushfire started this afternoon around 1:45 p.m. in Silver Creek Estates and is threatening homes in the area. The Park City Fire District is currently on scene and working to contain the fire. The cause of the blaze is currently unknown.
