This week, Utah had 49 new wildfires, adding to a total of 537 fires and nearly 40,000 acres burned since Jan. 1. Nationwide, over 3 million acres have burned, with 18,760 firefighters deployed. Shredshox introduces full-suspension skiing

Shredshox, created by race car drivers Ken Nichols and Nick Foster, has introduced a ski system with shock absorbers inspired by car suspension technology. The sixth-generation prototype uses lightweight materials and aims to enhance stability and comfort for skiers. The system will be showcased at ski shows in January 2025, with sales expected by the end of the 2024-25 season.

Guardsman Pass road closure begins July 29

Starting Monday, July 29, Guardsman Pass Road will be closed Monday through Thursday for repaving to improve safety and road quality. The work will be done in two phases, with each phase requiring a full Monday-Thursday closure.
