Save the land and your weekend plans at the Blue Sky Bash
PARK CITY, Utah — Summit Land Conservancy, Park City’s local land trust, is inviting open space enthusiasts to the Blue Sky Bash on Friday, Aug. 9, starting at 5:30 p.m.
The Blue Sky Bash Benefit for Open Space, held at The Arena at Blue Sky Ranch, is a major fundraiser for the organization’s For the Future Fund Campaign. The event aims to increase the pace and scale of conservation in Northern Utah.
“The Blue Sky Bash is a beautiful gathering of our friends and neighbors who share a love for the mountains and rivers of the Wasatch Back and want to do something to preserve them,” said Cheryl Fox, Summit Land Conservancy’s chief executive officer.
“I’m always amazed at the generosity and love that fills the room as people step up to save open space. That goodwill is what makes it such a great event – and squirt guns too, to keep it fun.”
The Blue Sky Bash will feature live auction items that cannot be bought anywhere else. Springbar, the presenting sponsor, is providing gifts for every guest, and the Conservancy expects a couple of exciting guest appearances. Funds raised at the event will protect farms, ranches, trails, viewsheds, wildlife habitats, and human habitats in the Wasatch Back, which forms most of the Great Salt Lake’s watershed.
The event includes curated cowboy cocktails, up-close viewing of raptors from HawkWatch International, a dinner, a live auction, and line dancing with BronCo Entertainment. Attendees can saddle up for a “party shuttle” provided to and from Treasure Mountain Jr. High School parking lot.
Early bird tickets are $400 until July 11, with an additional $15 for round-trip transportation. To reserve your spot or find more information, visit the Summit Land Conservancy’s website.
