Fire contained in Browns Canyon; no structures damaged

Firefighters quickly halt progress of Browns Canyon blaze on July 28

PARK CITY, Utah — Firefighters successfully contained a brush fire that erupted in Browns Canyon in Summit County on July 28. The fire, which started at approximately 2:30 p.m., burned an estimated 10 acres before forward progress was halted. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and no structures were damaged.

The fire, named the Browns Canyon Fire, initially threatened multiple structures in the area. However, swift action prevented any damage. Residents in the vicinity were alerted to the potential danger, but no evacuations were necessary as the situation was brought under control.
