SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Utah Avalanche Center recently appointed Caroline Miller as its new executive director. Miller will work alongside UAC Forest Service Director Paige Pagnucco to lead the organization into the future.
A UAC statement said Miller brings a wealth of experience, a passion for mountain safety, and a deep commitment to our mission of keeping people on top of The Greatest Snow on Earth®.
Originally from Estes Park, Colorado, Miller grew up exploring and skiing in Rocky Mountain National Park. She received her undergraduate degree from Montana State in Bozeman and her master’s from the University of Utah. Most recently, she lived in the Sierra Nevada and worked as the risk manager and director of Mountain Operations for Kirkwood Mountain Resort. Caroline left Kirkwood to return to the nonprofit space and spend more time in the backcountry.
