Woodward summer biking chairlift opening on June 15
PARK CITY, Utah — On Saturday, June 15, Woodward will begin it’s summer operations for chairlift-accessed mountain biking.
The Hot Laps Lift is scheduled to spin from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.
A new mountain biking lessons program, new mountain bike clinics, and a new beginner trail highlight Woodward’s summer plans.
Part of the trail system includes terrain on the winter halfpipe which is the only one in North America built into the year-round ground as opposed to other venues that create it each season out of snow. That means it can be utilized at any moments notice when snow falls for a day during any season.
Below is a video showing detailed trail information.
Nate Wessel is the design director for the trails. He says in the video that, “There’s something here for everybody, and you won’t get bored, I promise you.”
Brooke Trine, one of Utah’s leading female freeride mountain bikers, will be one of multiple “Visiting Pros” making appearances at sport camps this summer.
12-year-old local, London Zarkos, hones the snowboarding skills that land her on the podium in winters at Woodward, but she told TownLift, “Summers there are fun because skateboarding outside on the Plaza is great and ‘Coach Morgan’s’ girls skate camps are awesome.”
Monthly mountain bike Women’s Night’s are back as well.
