The Bagel Den brings a fresh bite to Kimball Junction

The Bagel Den is set to open in Kimball Junction this summer, expanding from Heber and Provo. Owner Matt Johnston renovated the former Park City Roasters space, and will offer guests 19 bagel flavors, eight cream cheese options, sandwiches, smoothies and an espresso bar. The new location is expected to open in mid-June.

Tiger Woods swings by Park City to inspect Marcella Golf Course progress

Tiger Woods stopped by Summit County this week to inspect his first mountain golf course. The 8,000-yard 18-hole course is set to open in 2025 in Marcella Jordanelle Ridge near Park City. Woods’ recent walk-through focused on finalizing the layout. Despite snowy conditions, a Marcella representative stated that substantial progress has been made on the course.

Park City Police warn of new phone scam

The Park City Police Department is warning locals about a phone scam where callers impersonate Summit County Sheriff’s officers and demand money to avoid arrest. Scammers may also use threats about missed jury duty and demand payment via gift cards or wire transfers. Law enforcement will never request money this way. If contacted as a part of this scam, call PCPD dispatch at 435-615-5500. 

Massive Brian Head expansion approved

The Brian Head Town Council approved an expansion in late May that would make Brian Head Resort the seventh-largest in Utah. The plan includes annexing nearly 1,800 acres to form a community called Aspen Meadows, adding 850 acres of skiable terrain, seven lifts, a hotel, ski lodge, base villages, a park and an ice-skating rink. The project will take three decades to complete.
