Upcoming roadwork to shut down sections of Kearns Boulevard

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Municipal has begun work on the first phase of a road improvement project that will bring short-term road closures on Kearns Boulevard.

The work will be carried out in phases. The first phase will require an eastbound traffic closure on Kearns from S.R. 224 to Bonanza Drive on June 28. This will be for storm drain work and is expected to last for one night, from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. on June 29. A detour will be available via Park Ave. to Deer Valley Drive and around Bonanza Drive.

The second phase of the work will begin on July 1, when the eastbound right lane of Kearns Boulevard will be closed for the installation of a 15″ storm drain line underneath the sidewalk in front of The Blind Dog restaurant. This will be an ongoing closure, expected to last until July 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Wednesday. The restaurant will remain open during construction.

Further road closures on Homestake Road are scheduled for the remainder of the month, from July 8 to August 1. These closures will take place Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on the road improvement project, please contact Greg Peay, Field Engineer with Geneva Rock Products, at 385-230-2265.
