Man run over by semi truck on Bear Hollow Drive
UPDATE: A man, run over by a semi truck earlier today, is now being reported as the driver of the truck. According to Park City Fire District Battalion Chief, Sean Briley, eye witness accounts stated that the truck’s brakes failed as the driver was unloading equipment from the truck.
The truck started rolling down the street, and the driver attempted to jump into the cab to stop it. He ended up falling out of the cab, and the truck rolled over him. It continued to roll down the hill running through the guardrail, and rolling down a steep embankment, around 50-60 feet, where it landed in the road right outside of a home.
No one else was injured in the accident and no homes were affected. The driver did sustain severe injuries to his lower extremities, but Chief Briley said the injuries looked to be non life-threatening.
