Driver killed in head-on collision on SR-40

The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle involved in the collision, which occurred the night of June 20, were transported with non-life-threatening injuries

HEBER CITY, Utah — At approximately 10:35 p.m. on June 20, a fatal collision occurred on SR-40 near milepost 24. A black Ford F150 was traveling westbound when it attempted to pass another vehicle. After overtaking the vehicle, the F150 remained in the oncoming traffic lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a silver Dodge Ram towing a flatbed.

Lieutenant Cameron Rodes of the Utah Highway Patrol confirmed, “The 39-year-old driver and sole occupant of the F150 was killed in the crash.” The driver and passenger of the Dodge Ram sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital.
