Saddle up for the National Ability Center’s annual Barn Party on June 1
Guests are encouraged to don in their best western-themed outfits for the event
PARK CITY, Utah — Dust off your cowboy boots, The National Ability Center (NAC) will host its annual Barn Party on June 1.
The western-themed event, which will take place Saturday, June 1 from 4-9 p.m. at the NAC Ranch and Equestrian Center, is intended to celebrate the participants, staff and volunteers of the NAC’s Equestrian Program.
The Barn Party will feature a range of activities for all ages, including a petting zoo, mechanical bull, auction, saloon, live music and a barbecue dinner.
“Join us in the heart of Park City for a celebration like no other! Our Barn Party promises a day filled with joy, unity and the spirit of ‘I Can,’” said Tracy Meier, chief program and education officer at the NAC. “From the petting zoo to the lively saloon, there’s something for every member of the family to enjoy.”
All proceeds from the event will go towards the NAC’s mission of providing adaptive recreation opportunities to those with disabilities. According to a press release from the NAC, the organization provided over 2,300 equestrian lessons and experiences throughout their last fiscal year through adaptive horseback riding, equine assisted learning and summer camp experiences.
“We’re excited about our annual Barn Party as it unites our community and celebrates the happiness these remarkable animals bring us,” said Jan Drake, equestrian facility and development manager at the NAC. “Through offerings like adaptive horseback riding and Equine Assisted Learning, our program witnesses remarkable advancements in participants’ progress and well-being that wouldn’t be possible without the support from our Barn Party. Each year, we spend over $300K on the care of these horses, which is funded directly from this event, thanks to our sponsors, donors and attendees.”
General admission tickets are $65, and youth admission for ages 12 and under is $30. Limited table sponsorships are also available at $2,000. Find more information or purchase tickets here.
