Vail Resorts named among America’s most trustworthy companies by Newsweek for second year

VAIL, Colorado — In a recent acknowledgment of corporate integrity and reliability, Vail Resorts has once again been distinguished by Newsweek as one of the Most Trustworthy Companies in America for 2024. This recognition, which marks the company’s second consecutive year on the list, evaluates businesses based on their ability to foster trust among customers, investors, and employees.

Vail Resorts’ inclusion in this list is not its first commendation from Newsweek; the company was also celebrated as one of America’s Most Responsible Companies in 2021 and 2022.

Kenny Thompson, Jr., chief public affairs officer for Vail Resorts, commented on the honor, saying, “This recognition is a reflection of our dedicated team and their values-driven leadership in service to our many stakeholders. We believe in continuous improvement, innovation, and investments to deliver on our commitments – resulting in a workforce that trusts us and guests who rely on us for an exceptional experience across our mountain resorts.”

The award comes shortly after Fast Company named Vail Resorts among the World’s Most Innovative Companies, highlighting its efforts to enhance the guest and employee experiences. The company has been active in innovating its services, including the introduction of new technologies such as Mobile Pass & Mobile Lift Tickets and the My Epic app and most recently My Epic Gear.

Vail Resorts’ also has included environmental stewardship and community support in its list of goals. The company recently launched its “Commitment to Zero” initiative, aiming for a zero net operating impact by 2030, including reaching 100% renewable electricity across its North American resorts and reducing landfill waste.

The criteria for Newsweek’s 2024 Most Trustworthy Companies in America include an independent survey of approximately 25,000 U.S. residents and a social listening analysis across various internet media segments. The methodology ensures a comprehensive evaluation of companies headquartered in the U.S. with a revenue over $500 million, focusing on their reputation for trustworthiness across multiple dimensions.
