Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau earns Green Destinations Top 100 Award
PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau has been named a winner of the Green Destinations Top 100 Story Awards.
This recognition, announced on Earth Day, placed Park City third in the “Business and Marketing” category, celebrating its Green Business Program.
Morgan Mingle, the Director of Sustainable Tourism at Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau, highlighted the community’s active participation in sustainability initiatives in a press release.
“The Green Business Program, a key component of our Sustainable Tourism Plan, has shown how our community collaborates to adopt and promote responsible tourism practices,” Mingle said. The program’s success reflects the broader community’s commitment to sustainability.
Launched in 2016 in collaboration with Recycle Utah, the Green Business Program initially focused on waste reduction among local businesses. Over the years, with the support of the Green Business Advisory Committee—which includes representatives from the Park City Municipal Corporation, Summit County, Park City Community Foundation, and the Chamber itself—the program has expanded to encompass areas such as energy efficiency, water conservation, and community equity. To date, 65 local businesses have engaged with the program.
The Green Destinations Top 100 Story Awards, held annually at ITB Berlin, recognizes global leaders in sustainable tourism.
