Chamber continues to invest in a sustainable future with second Sustainable Tourism Grant

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is accepting applications for the second annual Sustainable Tourism Grant through April 24. These grants aim to fund projects that support the city’s vision for a more sustainable future, including tourism.

“Protecting and caring for our natural environment is essential for promoting sustainable outdoor recreation, ensuring the long-term resilience of our community and economy,” said Jennifer Wesselhoff, President & CEO of Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau. “Through the Sustainable Tourism Grant, qualifying organizations are given the opportunity to embark on a transformative journey towards a more mindful and sustainable approach to tourism, thus making sustainable tourism efforts a community-wide effort.”

The grants are being made available thanks to the city’s Sustainable Tourism Plan, which launched in 2022. The plan seeks to create a more livable community by considering environmental and economic benefits equally. The grants will help fund a variety of projects that include community-building festivals, outdoor recreation, and business development.

The grants will be awarded on a standardized basis, and up to $30,000 will be awarded to eligible projects.

The deadline to submit an application is April 24. More details are available on the Chamber’s website, parkcitychamber.com.

The grants are being administered by the Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. The bureau is committed to supporting sustainable tourism projects that enhance the quality of life for visitors and residents.

The grants are helping to ensure that the city’s vision for a more sustainable future is realized, and that visitors have the opportunity to experience the city’s natural wonders while also supporting the local economy.
