Summit County Sheriff’s Office searches for driver involved in intersection hit-and-run
PARK CITY, Utah — The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run on Tuesday, March 5.
According to a statement from the SCSO, a pedestrian was struck in the intersection of Bear Hollow Drive and Sun Peak Drive at approximately 4:30 p.m. The vehicle then fled the scene and headed eastbound on Bear Hollow Drive, toward SR224.
According to Sgt. Felicia Sotelo, the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the victim’s description, the vehicle was a small, older model white car. Although multiple SCSO deputies circled the area, they were unable to locate the vehicle.
“If anyone has any information or was in the area and saw something, please reach out to our dispatch non-emergency line at 435-615-3601, reference case number 24-L07569 and mention Detective Hamilton,” said a statement from the SCSO. “Always be vigilant and if you see something, say something.”
The SCSO has also asked that anyone with video surveillance of the incident contact the office through the dispatch non-emergency line.
