Park City Day School hosts students from Bogotá, Colombia for cultural exchange program
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Students from an independent school in Bogotá, Colombia, are visiting Park City for two weeks to learn about cultural differences.
The exchange program is hosted by Park City Day School, a collaboration between the school and Round Square, a global network of 233 schools. This is the seventh year that the two schools have been offering this program.
The students will stay with host families in Park City and attend classes and events. They will also have the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities, visit Utah’s Olympic Park and see downtown Salt Lake City. The exchange program also offers the students the opportunity to attend the Utah Royals women’s soccer professional home opener against the Chicago Red Stars on March 16.
“We are delighted to welcome our friends from Colegio Los Nogales to Park City Day School for another memorable exchange experience,” said Brad McCutcheon, Head of School at Park City Day School, in a press release.
“These experiences leave a lasting impact on our students, shaping them into global citizens who appreciate diversity and embrace cultural differences,” said Dawn Ulvi, Dean of Students and coordinator of the exchange program at Park City Day School. “We are so excited to give our Park City Day School students and our exchange students the opportunity to learn from one another and to immerse themselves in another culture. It is truly a beloved program at our school.”
